in the NYT about how Libertarians have cost the Republicans some Senate seats (including control of the Senate for the past year and a half). It's not the first time for either party, but I think the Libertarian's have some staying power. They are right on more issues than Republicans and have a more coherent philosophy (which doesn't make them better, just more consistent). Only a Republican could argue against a national education department, but be for giving money to religious schools. Libertarians are against both, which, of course, makes more sense (not actual sense, but "more sense").
