Take Back the Media
is organizing a Rush Limbaugh boycott. I strongly urge all those who are inclined to join in. They make it very easy, and it's already working--Radio Shack has pulled their ads.
The one good thing about our corporate culture is that corporations are completely afraid to offend anyone, which means they can be manipulated like this (it's not as if they care about Rush--they just want to use his reach). Once enough companies pull out, the stations might have to move him to another time slot and try to grow another show at the prime spot. Again, all they care about is ad revenue--it doesn't matter that he has great ratings if they can't sell the spots.
