Dean for America
Howard Dean is the only candidate running for the Democratic nomination that's getting me excited. On the strength of his NARAL speech (go to C-Span.org
and watch: NARAL Roe v. Wade 30th Anniversary Dinner - Part One
--fast forward to 1:08:46), his support for civil unions, his fiscal conservativeness and his common sense approach to gun rights, I am supporting his candidacy. What does that mean exactly, especially so early in the game? Well, for starters, I sent him a contribution and joined his e-mail list. I am putting a banner on my page for deanforamerica.com
. I am trying to figure out how to help. MyDD
seems to be a supporter--check out that site for links to news about the campaign.
Oh, and if you agree, please help by spreading the word. Dean has a much lower name recognition than Kerry, Lieberman, Sharpton, etc. If you agree that he is a good candidate, contribute to the campaign--even a small amount can help. Bush has a huge war chest, and he doesn't have a challenger for the nomination. That's a big advantage in the election, but you can make a difference. If you think that Dean is a worth your vote, then he's worth a few bucks--please contribute to his campaign
One good reason to give early is that the candidates must declare the amount of contributions they receive every once in a while. These numbers are early indicators of strength and help to bring in the bigger contributions. What you might think is a small amount, when added to everyone else's contributions, will help Dean attract larger donors.
