Definitions of Treason
Theodore Roosevelt had this to say about dissent and treason:
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."
-- Theodore Roosevelt
Dennis Hastert has a different opinion:
"I was disappointed to see Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle's comments. Those comments may not undermine the president as he leads us into war, and they may not give comfort to our adversaries, but they come mighty close"
-- Dennis Hastert
Why the words "comfort to our adversaries"? He is trying to evoke these words from Article III Section 3 of the constitution
Clause 1: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.
I'll start listening to Hastert when somebody carves his face into the side of a mountain.
