Whoa -- I don't know what the hell our congressmen out East have done to piss off Scot Lehigh, but he tears them apart today in a column
about their possible gubernatorial runs:

After detailing each representative's transgressions, he ends with
So be advised, Democrats: Unless you rise up in unison and beg one or the other of these worthies to get in, you may find yourself left with only Tom Reilly and Deval Patrick, two men who -- without even worrying that their ambitions could crowd out towering figures like Lynch and Capuano -- have selfishly put together staffs, raised money, and started campaigning.
Imagine that: A primary contest between two candidates who are more about action than talk. Why, the nerve of the two, running for governor when they haven't even shown they've got what it takes to be a congressman.
Deval Patrick Fundraising

"This suggests that he has become a very serious and credible candidate for governor," said Philip Johnston, chairman of the Massachusetts Democratic Party, who is neutral in the race.
